The chances of me pulling off an Alicia Keys song, however, are remote. Still, there was something for virtually everybody and even though there were few personal favorites on the list our party knew many of the songs. With the entire category and history of "pop" music available I admit to being slightly disappointed. Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" is hard to sing and the video sadly reminded us of how healthy and beautiful she used to look before falling victim to drug use. It was decent, but the results vary by user. But the quality of the song list is the real question here. ![]() The music videos are fun to make but quickly get a little repetitive if you make a few attempts to polish a song.ĪUDIO: The sound is as crisp and clear as the original recordings. There isn't anything innovative here but innovation isn't needed. Those wishing to be the audio and visual stars can use the "EyeToy" USB camera for the PS2 and then watch themselves sing as well. The visual system works great, showcasing the original performer but still helping the karaoke candidate along. GRAPHICS: This non-traditional game features the same videos you might watch on MTV, with the lyrics framed below the picture and the sing-along guides on screen that help singers see if they are missing notes sharp or flat and if their rhythm is off. The trial party received high marks across the board. Singing head-to-head was fun and changing to "pass the mic," when the game forces everybody on a team to participate on a single song is a fun feature.
